SunCrest Fest is an annual fall celebration cohosted by the Cities of Crestwood and Sunset Hills, Missouri.

Parade and Classic Car Show

The parade kicks off at 10:15 am. The 0.9-mile route starts at Southview School and heads west, ending at Robyn Road. SunCrest Fest encourages parade entries of all types. Organization and businesses often come up with fun and memorable ways to engage parade watchers — including handing out candy/trinkets, performing short dance/cheer routines, or showcasing fun, colorful floats and vehicles decorated with community spirit. The parade is followed by a Classic Car Show and Trunk-or-Treat in the front parking lot of Truman Middle School from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m.

Participants of the Classic Car Show are encouraged to participate in the parade, but are not required.

Participation Ensures Success

SunCrest Fest encourages parade entries to promote their organization or business in a fun and memorable way, to engage parade watchers — from handing out candy/trinkets to performing short dance/cheer routines, or showcasing fun and colorful floats by decorating vehicles with community spirit.

FLOAT IDEAS: Floats can be any of the following:

  • decorated truck beds with costumed participants
  • decorated trailers securely pulled behind an appropriate vehicle
  • a decorated vehicle (truck, van, Jeep, golf cart, etc.) surrounded by walking participants
  • a classic/unique vehicle
  • a troupe of individuals walking and engaging with parade watchers
  • a musical group or cheer squad periodically performing a choreographed routine (this is not limited to school organizations)
  • an acting troupe dressed in costume performing in character along the parade route
  • a vehicle escorting a person of prominence or significance with identification attached to or accompanying the vehicle

Note: vehicle drivers and participates within the immediate vicinity of the moving vehicle are urged to take all necessary safety precautions to avoid injury of themselves and/or others.

PARADE + CAR SHOW: The Committee encourages Car Show participants to participate in the Parade, but doing so is not a prerequisite for entry into the Car Show.
